Kanavalli, once known as Kanvarahalli since time immemorial, is now called Kanavalli. It is here that Parvati Parameshwara himself came and enthroned on the beach. The morning reveals the face of youth, the afternoon displays the vigor of youth, and in the evening, the countenance of old age shines. Varakavi, titled Tammannacharya, is the gentleman who brought tears to the eyes of Parameshwara. Varakavi Tammannacharya, with a Shakta heritage, may seem like a madman to worldly eyes, but he is capable of communicating with God. Unpleased with his behavior, his parents expelled him from their house. He then sought the presence of Kanavalli Parameshwara, where poets sang the words "Hoguve Paramesha Pooreyo Hey Siddesha." This brought tears to Parameshwar's eyes, and saddened to part with his devoted Varakavis, he left the town and sought solace with contemporary saints like Sharifa Shivayogi and Virupaksha Mandir in Hampi. Kanavalli was right in front of his father's house. Once, Sadhu Seshachal of Agadi Anandavan visited Kanavalli and inquired about his brother to Brahmavrinda. At that time, Brahmavrinda spoke to him in the Elladru Gudi. However, the sadhus, wanting to display their spiritual prowess, placed a leaf in Brahmavrinda and exhibited their greatness. Tammanana, the poet, sang a song about the sadhus from time to time, "Sadhu Seshachalara Vara Padake Namisuvenu," and finally, in four words, "Kanavalli Brahmavrinda was surprised to hear this word, 'Sadhu Seshachalara Varapadake,' the bright form of Varakanavalli Parameshwara." The song "Palisai Bhandara Ruchiranga Mylaralinga" in this teranagi remains a favorite among Mylaralinga devotees. It glorifies Mylaralingesa's full avatar, and at the end, the inscription "Siddhagana Sadvinuta Jagadi Prasada Varakanavallinatha" can be seen.
Earlier, during the times of our elders, when the chariot festival of Lord Hampi Virupaksha began in Hampi, the sound of bells would echo in the sanctum sanctorum of Kanavalli Parameshwara. As soon as these bells rang, Kanavalli Parameshwar's seven-column chariot would start moving. This divine play reminds us that Hampi Virupaksha is synonymous with Kanavalli Parameshwara. Recently, the devotees have undertaken the construction of a new temple for Parameshwar, including the magnificent Kalyanamantap. In 1980, the trekking to Kengeri Constituency (Muragoda) in Kanavalli commenced. By 2004, there was an opportunity to celebrate the Silver Jubilee. Anandavanada Chidambara Murthy, the Emperor Sadhguru Mahodayan, was consulted about this. Sadhguru Sankara Dikshitar of Karkihalli was requested to initiate Parthiveshwar, considering the significance of Karkihalli Mahime. Sadguru agreed, visiting Karkihalli 2-3 times, conducting press conferences, and providing insightful guidance. The Golden Jubilee of Mrityunjayeshwar coincided with this event, and a remarkable 108 crore japayajna of Chidambara Mahaswami took place, with the active participation of all devotees of Anandavana. Now, as the 75th anniversary of Mrityunjayeshwar's establishment in 2029 approaches, plans are in place to carry out all service work systematically in Karkihalli. After careful consideration, it was decided to establish an ashram in Kanavalli itself for the devotees of both Kanavalli and Karkihalli, given the proximity to Pujya Agadi Anandavan's Ashram. The existing Bhajan Mandir in Kanavalli has graciously agreed to provide 6 acres of land for the new ashram. Recognizing the collective wish of our parents, and considering Parvati Parameshwara as the deity of Kanavalli, it was unanimously decided to establish Guru Maharaj's Padukashram.
Vishwanath Swamiji brought Hithalli Nagendra Bhattar to inspect the architecture of this ashram site in August 2023. He expressed the opinion that the ashram's architecture is truly commendable. Our brother-in-law, Parameshwara Shivaji Kulkarni Mylaralingeshwara Shibara, has already been constructed. In September 2023, Dindi Chief Baburao and Pujya Gurudattaswamy of Kanavalli had discussions with sculptors to establish the Shilapaduka Mandir. Venerable Umesh Dikshita and Peethadhikar of Kengeri have generously donated a Srichakra to be placed at the foot of the Paduke. In Padukashram, various activities, including education, food donation, cow protection, a medical clinic, and regular satsang, are planned for the children on behalf of Sri Sadhguru Shankar Lokseva Charitable Trust (R) and with the cooperation of well-wishers. With God's will, nothing is impossible; I rest in Srisadguru Sricharans, praying for Chidambara Mahaswami's grace. Jai Chidambara. Regarding Sadhguru Sankara Dikshita Gurumaharaja Aradhana Mahotsava, Pujya is the 6th generation from Chidambareshwar's third son, Mrityunjaya Dikshita. Born in 1907, he received his childhood education in Rona Taluka Jakkali. Later, he married Indirabai, belonging to the Kulkarni family of Guttala, and they had a daughter. His family was respected in the politics of Karkihalli, which was part of the then Hyderabad province. He also learned Persian Urdu, prevalent in politics at that time, while happily practicing Raja Yoga. Tragically, his wife became depressed after witnessing a train accident, and she passed away within a few years in his arms. On the same occasion, Hejiba Rama Raya of Agadi brought one of his relatives to Agadi to his house during a festival of Sadguru in Agadi Anandavan. For this reason, Sadhguru elevated Gurus to the position of fathers, being from the Dikshita family. He then experienced mental repentance, realizing he had spent too much time in town politics. Reflecting on the need to join the esteemed position of great Seshachal, tears of repentance started flowing from Maitumba Pitgadari.
The Yatis who arrived at Anandavan expected this after washing their hands: dinner. Later, Sadhguru Shankar came to have darshan of the Yatis and performed the ritual of cremating a pair of coconuts. He shared the wisdom that offering fruits when Yatis visit can bring a new turn in one's life in the coming year, anointing Seshachaleshwar with the Rudra Mantra. Accordingly, he walked through life and underwent a profound transformation. Kulaswamy visited all constituencies such as Hipparigi, Chidambara Constituency, Gangababulagaon, Gurlahosur, Srikshetra Kengeri Muragoda, etc., and blessed them. Swami himself had darshan in Gangababulagaon Constituency. Since then, Sadhguru Shankar initiated the work of worldwide collection, dispelling many demons, counseling and resolving sorrows, recounting the history of Chidambara for the children's wishes, and blessing the fortunes of the children. During the month of Shravana, he used to visit villages of the devotees and solve their problems. Similarly, when he arrived at the inauguration of the Chidambara Bhajan Board in Kanavalli, Suresh Patil was initiated into Parthiveshwara Puja. The 80th birthday celebration was held in Kanavalli. Even in Kanavalli, he gave darshan to the Kalavas in the form of Jyoti. How much should Sadhguru Karunyavan, who took a week-long service every year in the month of Bhadrapada, gather together all the devotees in Kanavalli and this part to worship Pujyashri Padangala? Jai Chidambara. On the same occasion, Hejiba Rama Raya of Agadi brought one of his relatives to Agadi to his house during a festival of Sadguru in Agadi Anandavan.
